DO I NEED TO ATTEND ALL SESSIONS?
While we hope that you are able to join all events, we understand sometimes things come up that might preclude you from attending. Sessions will be recorded and sent to all participants after the event.
WHAT IS ZOOM?
Zoom is an online platform that allows for video conferencing. By connecting through zoom, we will be able to see and talk with each other throughout the weekend. You will be given a link before the event with further instructions on how to access the system.
DO I NEED TO SET ANYTHING UP AT HOME?
We recommend being in a relaxed, quiet, and calm environment, as free as possible of any distractions. This will be your sacred space for our retreat gatherings so feel free to include whatever (e.g., warm cup of tea, candles, aromatherapy, mala beads) makes you feel most relaxed and comfortable.
DO I NEED TO BRING SPECIFIC MATERIALS?
You will need a phone and/or laptop and internet connection. We encourage the use of an exercise/yoga mat for the movement portions of the retreat, though it is not necessary. The restorative sessions will be slower and paired with individual Reiki sessions; we recommend dressing in warm layers and avoiding heavy meals/alcohol beforehand. It will also be helpful to have a blanket and pillows available.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE REIKI SESSIONS?
Group Reiki will be provided on Friday while individual sessions will be offered during Saturday and Sunday’s evening gathering. Individual sessions will be approximately 10 minutes and take place while you are in one of the restorative poses.
WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki refers to the universal life energy that flows through all living beings. People feel their best when their energy is strong and free flowing and experience symptoms of physical and/or emotional imbalances when energy is weakened or blocked. Reiki healers channel Reiki energy to facilitate healing across all areas – physical, mental, and emotional – to balance your body’s energy, promote deep relaxation, and improve health and well-being.
